Hiring Brentwood Theatre

Brentwood Theatre was built with the main purpose of providing a professional venue for the non-professional music and drama groups from Brentwood, Havering and beyond.

Brentwood Theatre is owned and maintained by a registered charity, Brentwood Theatre Trust. We employ minimal staff who are supported by a huge number of volunteers which enables us to keep our costs as low as possible, whilst continuing to invest in good facilities for the community to use.

This means that our resources are limited but despite that, it is our aim to provide a good service to anyone who may wish to hire the Theatre.

If you wish to see the shows that have been presented here, then you can download this excel file which has been collated from all of the posters in our archives. It is not 100% comprehensive as groups do not always produce posters, and sometimes they may get misfiled too, but it is a good start. As it is in excel, you can download the file and use the search function if you are looking for a show or group.

If you wish to obtain copies of any of the posters, there will be a reasonable retrieval and copying charge levied.

Special hire offer - The One Night Stand

We are pleased to be offering you once more a chance to grab an evening to book in a show here on special terms - but we have very few days free!

We call it our One Night Stand.

Have you an idea for a show that you are itching to try? Perhaps it was a New Years Resolution or even on your Bucket List to be the star of a show.

Well, here is your chance.

How about an open mic night? Close-up magic? Poetry? A song recital? A 'difficult' play that you could present as a rehearsed reading? Or perhaps you teach in a local school and are looking for somewhere affordable for your drama club to perform at?

You can hire us for any of the dates listed below, either the Main House or The Audrey Longman Studio for a reduced fixed fee, have some free hours to rehearse your show, and then put on that performance.

(To be updated) The cost is £75 including VAT for the Studio, or £350 including VAT for the Main House. Each hirer is limited to one day per month.

If you are interested, please call David on 01277 230833.
