DESCRIPTION:Excitement and love  – or tedium and worry?  New volunteer WAAFs arrive at 1941 RAF base – what will these wartime women experience?\n\nThis moving musical by Howard Goodall focuses on the lives and experiences of new volunteers as they enter the Women’s Auxillary Air Force during World War 2. It is 1941 and these women\, coming from different backgrounds and from all over the country\, all wish to be part of the war effort – or is this an opportunity to escape their humdrum lives and be part of something more exciting. Will the novelty wear off\, and how will the war affect their morale\, their beliefs\, their love-lives? The airmen’s safety and hearts are in their hands.\n\n\nThe haunting music highlights the ups and downs of life on the base as we hope to see the squadron’s airmen through their first tour of 30 bombing missions.
