Frida
This is the Academy Award winning true story of Frida Kahlo (Salma Hayek) and her husband Diego Rivera (Alfred Molina), the larger-than-life painters who became the most acclaimed artists in Mexican history, and whose tempestuous love affair, landmark journeys to America, and outrageous personalities made them legendary.
This film screening is part of the Brentwood Art Trail 2021 and will include an introduction about the life and work of Frida Kahlo by local artist Sue Mills. Sue Mills is a local artist and art teacher, who enjoys working in a wide range of materials including alcohol inks, charcoal and pastels, creating works that range from abstract to portraits. Sue has exhibited at the Brentwood Art Trail numerous times and you can see her work in the window of Piccola in Brentwood High Street this year.
