In 1947 Britain the war may well be over but there is no end in sight of Austerity Britain. The British people have been told by Prime Minister Attlee that there will be ‘Fair shares for all.’ However, it would appear that some in the town are receiving much more than their fair share. Princess Elizabeth is soon to marry Prince Philip and there will be a private function to celebrate. Although not everyone is invited.
