Kriya on Stage
An afternoon of Bharatanatyam dance Kriya is a Sanskrit word that means “action” or “movement”. This afternoon celebrates young dancers learning and performing Bharatanatyam, one of India’s most beautiful classical dance forms.

Our students will perform their first complete dance programme on a professional stage. You’ll see traditional pieces, beautiful stories told through dance, and rhythmic patterns they’ve been working hard to master. Each dancer brings their own joy and confidence to the performance.

Bharatanatyam is an ancient dance tradition from South India with thousands of years of history. It’s recognised worldwide as a precious part of our cultural heritage. Whether you know classical Indian dance or you’re watching for the first time, this will be a lovely afternoon celebrating our young performers and their dedication to this beautiful art form.
