Made in Dagenham
Inspired by a true story, and based upon the movie, Made in Dagenham – set in Essex in 1968 – is an uplifting musical comedy about the importance of fighting for what is right.
Rita O’Grady’s life changes when she and the girls at Ford’s Dagenham car plant find out that their pay grade will change to ‘unskilled’. Rita mobilises her friends in a battle against her employers and the corrupt Union that is meant to support them. Made in Dagenham shows how ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they Stand Up together.
Based on the book by Richard Bean, this show features music by David Arnold and lyrics by Richard Thomas. This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International.
