Thirty years after the defeat of the Empire, the galaxy faces a new threat from the sinister Kylo Ren and the First Order.  When a defecting stormtrooper (John Boyega) crash-lands on a desert planet, he meets tough scavanger Rey (Daisy Ridley).  Pursued by Ren, they unite to return secret plans stored within droid BB8 to the Resistance.
