Florence Sommerville & Friends

To celebrate being voted both the 2025 UK Country Female Singer of the Year and the 2025 Country ArtisT of the Year, Orsett-born, Essex country singer Florence Sommerville, along with her acclaimed band, returns to the Brentwood Theatre for her third Florence Sommerville & Friends Country Music Concert. She has once again invited along a couple of her great friends from the country music scene. Firstly there is LAURA BECKWITH, a Surrey-based singer-songwriter plus SHEA RAFFERTY, from London, to present a fast-moving entertaining show of modern country music to suit all ages.
21-year-old Florence Sommerville, who thrives on modern country music, has been described as “currently Britain’s Best Country singer,” by Tim Martin (Fatea), adding: “Make sure you see her before Nashville claims her permanently.”

Criss-crossing country genres the way she journeys through life, with wild abandonment, passion and intensity, the youthful independent singer-songwriter has created a uniquely sophisticated and signature manifesto, a bold indication that Florence Sommerville has at the outset of her career found her perfect stride. As ENDLESS HORIZON gloriously unfolds. Florence emerges as one of the more gifted melodists, subtly versatile singers, and liberated lyricists of her generation.
There’s a raw rootsy quality to Florence Sommerville’s music that belies her youthfulness. She isn’t the next ready-made country star beauty figure Barbie doll. She exhibits a surety of mind beyond her years, to create music that connects and inspires, and that will inflame a growing fire. An assured performer, she takes total command of any stage from the outset and allows her crystalline vocals to shine on her well-crafted original songs and carefully curated covers.
