Afternoon Tea at Ingatestone Hall

Brentwood Theatre invites you to an

Afternoon Tea at Ingatestone Hall

Join us for an afternoon tea with live music in the stunning setting of  Ingatestone Hall.

Enjoy a delicious selection of freshly prepared sandwiches with scones, clotted cream, preserve and a variety of cakes along with a classic selection of teas in the summer parlour of Ingatestone Hall and for that extra special touch you’ll get a glass of prosecco included with your ticket.

While you enjoy your sumptuous afternoon tea you’ll also be able to tap your toe along to music from our live band – you can even have a little dance if the mood takes you!

After you’ve had your fill of tea, sandwiches and cakes and enjoyed the musical entertainment you will be free to wander and explore the beautiful enclosed gardens of Ingatestone Hall comprising lawns, walled gardens and pond.

Ingatestone Hall stands in open countryside, one mile from the village of Ingatestone and substantially retains its original Tudor form and appearance with its mullioned windows, high chimneys, crow-step gables and oak-panelled rooms. The Hall remains primarily a private family residence – and, no doubt because of this, many visitors have commented on its friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Brentwood Theatre is very grateful to be able to host this fundraising event at Ingatestone Hall and we hope you will be able to join us, all profits from this event will go towards helping Brentwood Theatre continue to deliver community events and future projects.

Brentwood Theatre is home to (clockwise from top left): Storytelling & Rhyme Time sessions, family Christmas shows, 40+ local musical theatre, drama and dance groups, the Get Into Arts Festival, The Brent Awards celebrating excellence in local performance, technical theatre training and experience, Brentwood Community Cinema and much more.

Why we need you

We are an entirely independent theatre and registered charity receiving no regular funding or support. Unfortunately we haven’t been successful in being awarded any funding from the government’s £1.57bln Cultural Recovery Fund, so we need your support now. We love the amazing community of Brentwood, we want to be able to continue to provide a fantastic community space for now and the future, and we’d like you to be a part of that.

This is Where You Come In!

Right now we’re overflowing with ideas and plans for the future, from workshops and shows through to redevelopment and improvement of facilities and we will be applying to Arts Council England to fund these, but we need your help to guarantee that future. With pledges of support from you and others we get the funds to survive through the pandemic and ensure we can re-open our doors once it’s safe to do so. You get to show that you care about the theatre, its aims and are willing to invest in its future as Brentwood’s only dedicated centre for the arts.

No donation is too small, whatever you can donate helps says that you’re with us and want to help Raise The Curtain on Brentwood Theatre with us!
